I decided to do a written post this time. I will try vlogging again later. We have about a month left in our course so I have time.

On Tuesday we had a meeting with Avionboard before our lecture. We discussed about our task and we got some important points we will use in our marketing blog or vlog. Our target group is adults, more specifically the parents of the children. I´m excited with this task because we get to use the board. It is so much fun!

Our lecture was about search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM). Ilkka showed us some free digital tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Hootsuite. I´m happy I got to hear about those tools because they are so useful. I will probably need them in the future and why not even today. As I can for example schedule my post with Hootsuite and see how many viewers my site has with Google Analytics. Ilkka showed us also this Mouseflow site where you can see how your site viewers mouse moves on your site. Really interesting but maybe not so useful tool.

After Ilkka´s presentation we had a guest speeker Aida Hubanic. She had participated in Laurea game jam and actually won the competition. The winner team got a trip to a worldwide game event in Barcelona. Aida´s team had a game named Hungry cells. It seemed like a really educating game and I liked the idea of it. Their team consisted of people different ages, experts of different fields and different gender. I think that was their strength and it made it easy to invent this game. Aida made us try Cuckoo workout which was kind of fun. Cuckoo workout is a company which tries to add exercise in work hours. Cuckoo will remind you to stand up and do a little exercise during the day. What a great thing, I want one!

On Tuesday our team Digi-ESAt enjoyed our prize from NoBot Oy. We bought food and drinks and had a little evening brunch. Yum!

Our second lesson was on Friday as we participated to a PCA Scala event called NextLevel at Vallila. On our way there we got a notification in our Digital Business Facebook group from Ilkka. The notification was about our jobs during the event. I really thought it was a joke because it was april fools day. Soon it became clear that it seriously wasn´t a joke. They tried to use us as free labor. I totally lost my interest and was ready to leave as soon as I arrived there. When I heard that we would have a company from welfare and health field I was excited. Actually I have wanted to work somewhere which has something to do with welfare and health. So I am annoyanced this went so badly. But I have to thank Ilkka who remained positive and helped us to avoid the jobs given. Still a ridiculous and weak way to behave from PCA Scala.

Anyways we went there and listened to Mika Järvinen. He told about his past and his story how he has become who he is now. One thing caught my attention. It was "never trust anyone". Seriously?! That is full of ****. Sorry for the language but that is the truth. If you can´t trust anyone there is something wrong with you or the thing you are doing. Doing thing together with someone and the ability to trust the person brings power for you and the work you are doing.

Some pics from there. The gym was nice and there would be enough space to train. But I will never go there again.

It was a educating week. Every task and co-operator aren´t pleasing. But you should not think too much of the past, you should concentrate to the future. Take the learning with you and move on. Spring is here and the warm weather is lovely.

See you next week!

XO SINI
