So this week was different from the previous ones. We didn´t have any lectures. Some call it a holiday but for me it isn´t. Because I have other courses, no holiday for me. Also we do have tasks to do in this digi-course. The first one is to market our SuperPark video. I think we have done a pretty good job with it. By comparing to other groups our video is one of the most viewed. Proud of our group!
Our second task of this week was to reflect our thoughts about Kyla Mitsunaga´s TED talk.
The topic was about why teachers must learn "with" their students. The start of the video was hilarious. It should immediately about Kyla´s personality; funny, colorful and bubbly. The way she illustrated her point was super good. She took her audience right away and made them listen. The difference between "at" and "with" is totally different. The much better way is "with" because that is a way you join the learning. People hate that there is always someone telling what to do and how to do it. Also if people always tell you what to do, when will you start thinking yourself, when will you know what do you want, what are the things you are missing. There are a whole lot of things to say about this topic. But maybe the most important is that doing together is better than alone!
Who is a good performer?
-You take your audience
-Humor
-Examples of own life
-Be yourself
-Gets people to think about the topic
"A nail that stickes up will be hammered down." I see it negativitely because that sentence sounds to me in this way: A person that is different will be beaten down. No I don´t mean physically violent. The nail is a person who want to stick out or up and society has this big hammer that is used if you are too different from the main human mass. So hard to put this in words. Argg! Well I hope someone understand my point. There was my reflects about this TED talk. Really good speech, I liked it!
