Mazda and three wins

This week was special! Our team won two different assignments. Also my blog was chosen as the blog of the week. What is going on? How did this all happen at the same week? Well I believe that the secret about winning is that when you get the taste of it you will become unstoppable. After our Monday´s win (the Nobot video task) I joked about how we will win the next task as well and on Thursday we won again the task for Mazda. Well I guess our team Digi-ESAt is now unstoppable. So watch out! At this point please note that I ain´t serious about this winning thing and that I am not arrogant. Everyone who have won something knows that it feels good and motivates you to do even better.

Okay let´s leave that topic behind. Now to our tasks and my week. On Monday as usual I didn´t make it to the first period of our lesson because german language studies need my attention. But I did come to listen about Mazda. We had Aki Kaukola and Markku Riekkola from there to speak about marketing and also about the situation which is going on at the moment on car business. Not so good. The fact is that state of the economy isn´t good and it affects on everything.

I think it is good that companies come to speak for us and we get a hint of the working life at the moment. Also I like doing tasks for companies that come from different fields. For example Mazda totally different from SuperPark or NoBot from PCA-SCALA. Some have said straight that they can´t make new ideas and that is why they come to ask help from us, students. New ideas for free! Well who wouldn´t want that. Anyways more important thing is that we learn and get experience. I have learnt so much useful things and also I have started to find out what kind of job would I want to get.

After Mazda's presentation we got our task which was to do a marketing plan for a car, Mazda 2. Our team decided to target on women under 35. The reason why we chose this target group was that in our group there are 7 women under 35. We got good ideas of how to market the car and I guess the Mazda men liked it too because we won.

We got a great idea as we worked on this task. It was that on Thursday our team would all wear black and put red lipstick on. The pictures we were shown on Monday where red and black themed so ofcourse we would dress in that colour theme. A little bit of extra makes a difference.

Then on Thursday we had our presentation for Mazda. Unfortunately I wasn´t on Thursday because I was at Jyväskylä seeing my friend and also my grandma who turned 91. She is amazing!

This is my shortest blog post because I don't have any pictures in it. But no worries I will compensate it in my next post. Maybe I could try vlogging.

Now I am going to a student cruise and tomorrow I will be in Sweden. Hurray! Maybe I could post something from my trip next week. See you then!
